1) Should I use bare skin or with clothing is it more effective with bare skin?
I started with a rather thin t-shirt, even below my neck…that seemed to assist the blood circulation, but not much. So I then tried the shirt on my chest skin bare, and then it felt as though it worked even better that way. We spent 2 more days trying it on our backs, and it worked well that way too.
2) Can you remove the foam and wash the covers of the mat and pillow?
Yes, it’s feasible due to the mat, it shrinks somewhat, however it still looks great, maybe you should dry it, instead of using it as I’ve done, this has only brought about a slight shrinkage.
3) Is the cover removable?
Yes, the cover is removable. The foam cushion in the middle has two velcro strips. You can take out the foam cover and clean it if you wish. I’ve had the mat for approximately two years and have never removed its cover.
4) Can the pillow be used for your lumbar section as well?
Yes. I use it mostly for my lumbar than my neck. In this regard, the “pillow” by itself works best for me.
5) Effective to use while laying in bed, reading, etc?
I prefer to employ this when I’m lying down, but I realize that it is better on the flooring than I am. I haven’t read while enjoying the floor because it is being held out flat, but it might be a possibility.
